Race 2C (Caulfield) – Friday, July 4th, 11:15 PM EDT

This race is equivalent to a “non-winners two other than” allowance in North America, and there is a lot of speed signed up. #2, #4, #6, #9 and #14 all appear to need the lead. I am going to focus on lighlty-raced horses for good value.

Top pick – #13 Just Too Hard. Very well bred, post 2, and always puts in a good run from off the pace. Gets in light too, with 11 pounds less than the top weights.  Great value at 15/1 on the Morning Line (ML)

Second pick – #1 Mezeray Miss.  Distance may be too short for her, but she is a listed stakes winner at Caulfield. Pretty solid value at 6/1 ML.
