Aussie racing from Rosehill – Friday night (9/26) into Saturday (9/27)

Hello everyone!

If you haven’t figured it out yet, I am very partial to the racing near Melbourne that involves tracks Flemington, Moonee Valley and Caulfield.  However Moonee Valley is starting their night racing program, which does not work with the North American time zones and sleep, so I am going to avoid this circuit until one of the major tracks takes over – hopefully next week.  However, top-notch racing from Sydney at Rosehill is available and this week I will focus my efforts there.

In addition, arguably the best Speed figure maker in Australia, LEONARD MARLBOROUGH, is partnering with me to bring you speed figures for all the big races through Sydney and Melbourne through the Spring carnival and the Melbourne Cup.  Leonard has been making Aussie speed figures for over 30 years and he knows his stuff.  But in addition to that he will explain his analysis when asked and is a thoughtful person in general.  Leonard is on Facebook and he is selling is speedfigure numbers at this e-mail (highly recommended):

leonard@speedratings.com.au

Leonard’s analysis indicates there are two numbers to track – best speedfigure in the last two years (best career speed), and best speed figure in the last three months (best recent speed).  The best betting opportunities arise when a horse tops BOTH categories.  I will call these horses DOUBLE ADVANTAGE horses.  These horses tend to have very high win percentages, and because Leonard uses a different way to measure speed, many are prices because other figure makers will incorrectly mark these horses as being slower compared to their competitors.

The second group to track are horses that are top 3 in best career speed and top three in best recent speed.  These horses win at a lower rate but can win at nice prices.  For this blog I will call them TOP 3/TOP 3 horses:
