There is plenty of stakes action February 27th (Friday night) from the “A” track (Warwick Farm) and the “B” track (Caulfield)!
How am I doing? Over the past 3 Fridays starting with the Aussie Fall season I am 18% winners (2 for 11) with an R.O.I. of -63.18%.
10:20 pm EST – Race 3A (Warwick Farm) – 6f 2yo fillies – Picks (1-8-7-6-5-12) #1 LADY JIVAGO has the best recent form and her speed figures are very competitive. A likely 8/1 chance given the early betting.
10:40 pm EST – Race 3C (Caulfield) – 7f 3yo fillies – Picks (2-1-4-3-5) #2 Sabatini (expect 4/1 odds) has a good Caulfield record (including a close placing in a Group 1 there) and should improve second off the freshening. #1 Fontein Ruby and #7 Marple Miss might get in a speed duel, depending on how aggressively Marple Miss is ridden early.
11:15 pm EST – Race 4C (Caulfield) – 9f 3yo – Picks (#5 in my most likely winner-1-4-7-10) #5 Alpine Eagle is a very likely winner (expect 6/5) who is incredibly well bred for the distance – both High Chaparral and Zabeel are stamina influences.
11:35 pm EST – Race 5A (Warwick Farm) – 6.5f 3yo – Picks (3-4-6-11-10) #3 Pornichet is coming off the layoff but this is not a very strong field and his last two races top the charting by a few lengths. Expect 4/1.
12:35 am EST Saturday – Race 6C (Caulfield) – 9f Open – Picks (#5 is my best longshot-3-1-2-4) #5 Jaquinot Bay and #3 Mourinho are both pokey speed horses and they should go 1-2 into the stretch with little trouble. Expect JB to be 15/1 and Mourinho to be in the 6/1 range. Bet JB to win and box my top two with #1 2014 Melbourne Cup winner Protectionist in the exacta and the trifecta.
