Woodbine    Race 4,   6 furlongs   Claiming $10,000 3L  (2:26 ET)

Best Value Play: #4 Cat Zapper (8/1)

Most Likely Winner: #9 Aragvi  (8/5)

Other Contenders: #1 Uncatchable Fire (8/1), #10 Macho Whiskey (3/1)

Analysis: Aragvi looks to have this field over a barrel if he runs back to his last couple of races. Having Husbands on board for trainer Sid Attard doesn’t hurt. Uncatchable Fire may not have won this year but he drops to his lowest level ever and gets weight off with the apprentice. Macho Whiskey shares the same sire with the Breeders’ Cup Classic winner and seems to be back to the races for the experienced and highly successful barn of Reade Baker. Cat Zapper may get ignored on the board but his last few races have produced some attractive speed numbers, plus one must take note of his back class.

 Woodbine   Race 7,   7 furlongs  Claiming $12,500 (3:56 ET)

Best Value Play: #5 Strawberry Scarlett (6/1)

Most Likely Winner: #4 I’m Not Afraid (5/2)

Other Contenders: #2 Flower Exchange (3/1) #3 Whispering Wall (8/1)

Analysis: I’m Not Afraid should not fear this group of old foes. She is a consistent mare and Husbands will be the pilot. Flower Exchange takes another and gets a return engagement with Wilson. Today could be the day. Whispering Wall is another consistent mare that will be in the mix from start to finish. Strawberry Scarlett is on the fringe with speed figures but comes back quick on a second layoff, and freshness this time of year can be the difference.
