Delaware Park Race 4 (2:45 ET) 6 Furlongs Claiming $5,000
Best Value Play: # 4 Sweet Moonbeam (15/1)
Most Likely Winner: #1 Wyatt’s Women (3/2)
Other Contenders: # 2 Flatter Me Up (7/2), #5 Falcon’s Flight (9/2), #6 Maxine’s Pride (3/1)
Analysis: Wyatt’s Women is the definite choice of the Jamie Ness entry, ships in from Tampa in good form and takes a class drop. Her versatile running style also makes her tough to beat. Flatter Me Up has a good history at Delaware with seven finishes in the money from nine attempts. Falcon’s Flight has battled Flatter Me Up several times and the two are pretty much an even match as contenders. Maxine’s Pride invades from Canada, drops in class and gets blinkers plus she has always been heavily bet in tougher company. Sweet Moonbeam is another with blinkers added and it looks like she needs them. There’s some good back class and speed figures in her past, and a top effort makes her a threat.
Churchill Race 10 (5:30 ET) 6 ½ Furlongs Allowance 1X
Best Value Play: # 5 Frannie G (12/1)
Most Likely Winner: # 3 Interest Free (5/2)
Other Contenders: # 2 Trail Walker (3/1), # 6 Ms Hoochie Coochie (5/1), Distinct Affair (4/1)
Analysis: Interest Free gets the red hot Shaun Bridgmohan to ride for one of the best and most experienced trainers in the business. Has yet to run a bad race and bred to sprint. Trail Walker represents the always dangerous Asmussen barn and has shown plenty of talent in her races. Ms Hoochie Coochie has missed the board only once in eight starts and always generates a good speed figure. The distance and surface look to suit her well. Distinct Affair has been impressive thus far and goes for a new successful barn. Take note that she has always been the favorite in all of her races. Frannie G is the only one in the field to have her picture taken three times. Today’s distance is perfect for her and she fired bullets in her last two works.
