PARX   Race 5,   5 1/2 Furlongs  Claiming $7,500 4L (2:13 ET)

Best Value Play: #5 Fleeter (6/1)

Most Likely Winner: #7 Platinum Sandy (5/2)

Other Contenders: #1 Peter’s Legend (6/1), #6 Tony Blue Eyes (3/1)

Analysis: Even though he takes a hike in class Platinum Sandy still looks like the one to beat. A big number in his last race and a little rest make him formidable. Peter’s Legend comes back from a rest after being claimed by a barn that does well with its first claimers. Back class is a question but top jock Carmouche gets aboard. Tony Blue Eyes has the best name in the field and also sports consistent performances. Always bet and usually gets good speed figures. Fleeter visits Philly after a brief stop in Jersey by successful Tampa trainer Cibelli. That’s enough to duck for cover. In Tampa he faced tougher than these and takes a double drop from his race on the shore.

PARX Race 7,   7 Furlongs  Allowance 1X (3:07 ET)

Best Value Play: # 8 My Emma (8/1)

Most Likely Winner: #1 Bliss (8/5)

Other Contenders: # 6 It’snosmallwonder (7/2), # 7 Deighan (5/1)

Analysis: Bliss showed something at Aqueduct and then came to Philly to trounce a starter allowance field. She now takes that big number into this race as a legitimate favorite. It’snosmallwonder is an honest sort that is always bet fairly well and rarely runs a bad race. Deighan may have thrown in a clunker in her last but she is still capable and her breeding should enjoy a stretch to 7 furlongs. My Emma is trained by one of the masters of PARX and has some back class. Her outside post may help her stalk and she gets blinkers to keep her mind on business.
