Best Value Play: #2 Dirty Cerday (8/1)

Most Likely Winner: #3 Shameless Risk (3/1)

Other Contenders: #1 Shore Do (6/1), #4 Fiery Lake (5/1)

Analysis: Shameless Risk has been in the money 47 times from 76 starts and the old gelding still seems to be ready to go. He warrants top consideration in this event. Shore Do has seen much tougher and his last race gives the appearance that he can still get the job done at this level. Fiery Lake is another old campaigner that can mix it up with these. His tactical speed makes him a threat. Dirty Cerday is hard to figure but if he blasts from the gate as he is capable of then he controls the race and if his back class surfaces he will be tough to catch.

Best Value Play: # 1 Coronet of a Baron (6/1)

Most Likely Winner: #7 Praiseworthy (7/2)

Other Contenders: # 2 Aly’s Reward (4/1), # 5 Truly Amazing (3/1)

Analysis: If he is not a victim of pace then Praiseworthy will sweep past all of them for the big paycheck. Aly’s Reward is capable of running away with this one with his early speed and his back class. Truly Amazing loves Presque Isle and gets Pino to navigate and this makes for a tough combo to ignore. Coronet of a Baron has lost twice to Truly Amazing but gave him weight in one of those, but today he takes a class drop and runs second race after a rest. He also takes off the blinkers. All of this can add up to an upset.
