Best Value Play: #6 Howelling Wind (10/1)

Most Likely Winner: #1 Beggarthyneighbor (2/1)

Other Contenders: #2 Time for Wine (4/1), #3 Noifswhatsorbuts (3/1)

 Analysis: Beggarthyneighbor is trained by the highly successful Scott Lake and his last two races make him the one to beat. Time for Wine is plenty capable of winning here despite his poor effort last out. Noifswhatsorbuts jumps in class but was impressive last time and he runs for a trainer that visits the Winner’s Circle often. Howelling Wind has run first or second in almost half his career races and has plenty on his resume to warrant longshot consideration.  

 PARX   Race 3,   7 Furlongs  Claiming $10,000 3L (1:19 ET)

Best Value Play: #2 Bruceandmike (12/1)

Most Likely Winner: # 1 Sovereign Citizen (2/1)

Other Contenders: #3 A.P.’s Buddy (5/1), #4 Niam’s Strike (3/1)

Analysis: Sovereign Citizen takes a drop and holds speed figures superior to the rest of the field. A.P.’s Buddy jumps in class but hints of one in the middle of major improvement, plus extension to 7 furlongs is a good thing for him. Niam’s Strike gets services of top rider and runs for Pino, who continues to drop him until he finds a place. Bruceandmike is an interesting long shot. He gets a major jock switch, ships in after running a prep, and a real hot one, at Delaware just last week, and seems to be in softer than he has in the past.
