Analysis: Trainer Leo Gabriel brings Wild Pantera up from New Orleans with impressive works, plenty of class and a class drop to boot. The most glaring observation is that regular jockey C.J. McMahon comes into ride, and it is his only mount on the day. Wild Pantera’s running style and ability to get a route of ground should allow her to inhale the early speed. Glamour Galore demolished her foes last out and broke her maiden on the poly at Keeneland last spring. La Torera is a tough mare that is popular at the claiming box and goes for the old connection of Bob Hess and Kent Desormeaux. Mac n Mayo has finished in the money 25 of 33 times on artificial surfaces and could be dangerous off a layoff. Gripey Sarah has tactical speed, gets an outside post and has been in the money 18 of 20 times on artificial surfaces, a stat that is impossible to disregard.

Analysis: Got No Answers should be the favorite and certainly likes artificial surfaces. There is a concern about her tailing off form but if she runs to form she handles these. Courtly Flyer takes a big drop but will be running on a different surface and at a much shorter distance. Added Delight loves to get paychecks and always puts forth a great effort. Miss Ziggy has been in the money is 56 of 88 times, and despite her advanced age she would not be a surprise winner, just ask her competitors from the last race. The Calder shipper, Tanasi could be a good price as she drops in class and has a couple of solid, long works in preparation for her return to battle.
