Presque Isle Race 2, 6 1/2 furlongs Claiming $5,000 (5:50 ET)
Best Value Play: #6 Coweta (4/1)
Most Likely Winner: #5 U.K. Girl (8/5)
Other Contenders: #1 Imperial Jive (5/1), #2 Intimidating Woman (2/1)
Analysis: U.K. Girl has been in the money over 60% of her career and fits perfectly at this level. Imperial Jive takes another drop after a layoff and always takes money at the windows. Pino stays aboard. Intimidating Woman appears to be entering a form cycle and certainly has enough success to prove she can win. Coweta comes in from Finger Lakes but has ample experience on the PID Tapeta surface and should be fresh considering it is only her third race of 2013.
Presque Isle Race 8, 6 furlongs Claiming $7,500 (8:20 ET)
Best Value Play: #7 Siracha (8/1)
Most Likely Winner: #5 Lady Lohr (4/1)
Other Contenders: #1 Safe Word (5/1) #2 Real Distinctive (5/2)
Analysis: Lady Lohr looks to be the speed and her half mile pace should give her adequate margin to sail to the wire. Safe Word won her last and moves up a notch. Her back class suggests she can run with these. Real Distinctive is the only early challenger to Lady Lohr and she will either engage her in battle or try to stalk her and beat her at the top of the lane. Siracha drops in for a visit from Finger Lakes under the successful hand of trainer Anthony Ferraro, who probably could not find a good race for her in upstate New York. Could stalk well in her and has won over the Tapeta surface.
