 PARX    Race 5,   7 furlongs Claiming $16,000 3L (2:13 ET)

Best Value Play: #5 Visigodo  (10/1)

Most Likely Winner: #2 Bruceandmike  (5/1)

Other Contenders: #1 In Todd We Trust (9/2), #4 James Lee (4/1)

Analysis: Bruceandmike is the most consistent in this contentious field. He will need to come from off the pace but is the most likely one to be running for the wire in the final stages. In Todd We Trust is second off the claim for Orseno, who also owns the ridgling. Slow start last out is a good enough excuse and past battles in Gotham suggest he can win. James Lee may be in a great spot if he does not require the lead. In the past he has posted some good speed figs. Visigodo will run first time for barn that performs well with its claims. He may get the trip right off the pace and should be overlooked.

PARX  Race 6,   6 furlongs  Claiming $7,500 4L (2:40 ET)

Best Value Play: #3 Sweetsouthernambar (8/1)

Most Likely Winner: #2 Princess Kate (5/2)

Other Contenders: #5 Beguiled Again (4/1) #9 California Roll (3/1)

Analysis: Princess Kate runs second time off the claim and goes up in class. The key here is trainer Michael Pino, who makes few mistakes. Pino must know she can handle the elevated level. Beguiled Again must be considered just because she has blistering speed from the gate and will control the pace. She may not win it, but has a good chance to hang on for a position in the exotics. California Roll comes back to a sprint with plenty of stamina and a great outside stalking position to pounce on foes. Sweetsouthernambar has been claimed quite a bit and has been in the hands of good trainers, which suggests she is sound. Always bet and must be considered in her second race off the claim and second after a brief freshener.
