Woodbine    Race 2,   7 furlongs Claiming $32,000 (1:18 ET)

Best Value Play: #1 Tapit’s Brew  (8/1)

Most Likely Winner: #3 Bear’s Future  (2/1)

Other Contenders: #2 Destiny’s Song (8/1), #7 Citius (3/1)

Analysis: Bear’s Future is part of the Scott Fairlie uncoupled entry. He looks to be in good shape and will take a drop in class to gain a major advantage. Destiny’s Song has actually defeated top choice at this distance and moves to a little known barn that is good with its claimed runners. Citius will probably get the most desirable trip of the bunch and gets the patient Contreras to navigate. Tapit’s Brew is the uncoupled entry mate of the top choice for the dangerous Fairlie, and that makes him a threat that will probably be overlooked on the tote board.

Woodbine  Race 6,   7 furlongs  Claiming $10000 (3:18 ET)

Best Value Play: #8 Rio Bay (8/1)

Most Likely Winner: #3 The Queen’s Reign (3/1)

Other Contenders: #5 Whispering Wall (7/2) #9 Dubai Dot (3/1)

Analysis: It is shaping up for a Scott Fairlie day in Toronto. In this race he starts a first time claim, The Queen’s Reign, on a class drop and gets his top partner in the irons. This one just has that certain aroma. Whispering Wall will flash some speed and will be dangerous if allowed to get loose on the lead. Dubai Dot gets a great post for her stalking style and is a threat even though she has not won this season. Rio Bay gets a good post for her style. Her new trainer sent her way up in class and now brings her back down. She finished second behind the top choice in June and fired a bullet in training ten days ago.
