Arlington    Race 1,   6 1/2 furlongs Claiming $50,000 (2:00 ET)

Best Value Play: #3 Halon (5/1)

Most Likely Winner: #1 Kipling’s King (3/1)

Other Contenders: #6 Purest Form (9/2), #7 Go Getem (7/2)

Analysis:  Kipling’s King comes off a big win with a big number for a high percentage trainer and warrants top consideration. Purest Form has shown versatility in distance and surface and this guy may get a great trip. Go Getem is an old warrior with more than a dozen career wins and he sent a signal in his last race that he may be ready. Halon comes to town with terrible form but with several good races in his past. Looks to have faced tough company along the way, likes artificial and runs for one of the “big surprise” trainers in racing.

Gulfstream  Race 8,   6 1/2 furlongs  Allowance 1X (4:45 ET)

Best Value Play: #3 Dublin’s Diamond (8/1)

Most Likely Winner: #7 I Ain’t Gonna Lie (3/1)

Other Contenders: #1 Nasty Cat (6/1) #2 Desirable Lady (5/1)

Analysis: I Ain’t Gonna Lie will need a little pace in front of her but she has a ton of class for this field. Nasty Cat has questions surrounding soundness but if she is in good shape she could be tough for this successful trainer. Desirable Lady comes back from a freshener after knocking on the door consistently. Dublin’s Diamond gets no respect on the morning line but will run for a high percentage barn and with a red hot rider. Good chance she is a much better horse then she was back in the spring.
