Woodbine Race 3, 1 1/16 miles Claiming $16,000 (1:53 ET)
Best Value Play: #5 Clear March (10/1)
Most Likely Winner: #6 Noor Un Nisa (2/1)
Other Contenders: #1 Inca Beauty (5/2), #3 Roman Damsel (6/1)
Analysis: Her name may be a little weird but Noor Un Nisa looks to be spotted well in this one. Her excellent record on polytrack causes no concern for the switch from the turf, plus she gets plenty of class relief with regular rider Campbell aboard. Inca Beauty goes for the effective combo of trainer Dave Cotey and rider Skye Chernetz. This is as low as she has been in a long time and good take these. Roman Damsel has only seen open allowance company all year and drops for trainer Michael Doyle, a trainer that is hard to second guess. Clear March is capable and trainer Steve Attard knows the back class is there. Plus, she is lightly raced this season and that is a plus.
Woodbine Race 8, 7 furlongs Claiming $25,000 (4:34 ET)
Best Value Play: #8 Big Time (6/1)
Most Likely Winner: #5 Malibu Skyline (2/1)
Other Contenders: #6 Tapit’s Brew (4/1) #7 Destiny’s Song (8/1)
Analysis: Malibu Skyline will play “catch me if you can” and if successful rider Da Silva can rate him right he can take them coast to coast. Tapit’s Brew will take his shot from off the pace and he is always a threat having won 11 of 36 in his career. Destiny’s Song ran a game race to a horse that came back and won Wednesday night. It’s her second time for a new barn and she drops to her claimed level. Big Time runs for a jockey-trainer combo that won at a 45% clip last year and is always dangerous. If he delivers his late kick he will be rolling late.
