Keeneland Race 3, 7 furlongs $20,000 (2:09 ET)
Best Value Play: #8 Grey Oak (6/1)
Most Likely Winner: #6 Liberty Wing (3/1)
Other Contenders: #2 Straight Town (7/2), #3 Don’t Slip (7/2)
Analysis: Liberty Wing, a horse that is due for a big race, turns back in distance and fits well with these. Straight Town normally goes long on the turf but does hold a good record on artificial while being in the money half the time in his career. Don’t Slip cannot be ignored simply because he was claimed by Maker and ridden by Rosie. Grey Oak has shown plenty in the past to suggest he can handle these, plus he runs for the Romans/Lanerie duo.
Keenland Race 5, 7 furlongs Allowance 2L (3:13 ET)
Best Value Play: #7 Star Street (10/1)
Most Likely Winner: #6 Mongol Boss (2/1)
Other Contenders: #2 Vanity Feature (5/1) #5 Rapscallion (5/2)
Analysis: Mongol Boss, another one for Maker/Rocco, tries allowance company after solid maiden races, and he ran well in his only trip on polytrack. Vanity Feature is something of a mystery but it is hard to ignore that last race on polytrack at Turfway Park. Rapscallion ships in from New York, moves from turf to polytrack, his trainer is one of the best and his sire puts versatile runners on the ground. Star Street will probably get little respect since he ran at Canterbury, however his past efforts in Lexington and Louisville suggest he can beat these.
