Churchill Race 5, 6 furlongs $30,000 3L (2:35 ET)
Best Value Play: #3 Pistolpackinpenny (10/1)
Most Likely Winner: #7 Distinct Affair (5/1)
Other Contenders: #2 Livin Peace (5/1), #4 Chelsea Road (3/1)
Analysis: Distinct Affair turns back and drops to a tag for the first time since her maiden win. You can probably draw a line through her last race. Livin Peace, who has plenty of stakes experience, is second race off the shelf for the clever Michael Stidham. Ships in from the Windy City with blinkers removed for the probable front runner. Chelsea Road is hard to ignore because of the connections and the first time claim. If she likes the dirt she will be tough. Pistolpackinpenny has had a roller coaster career but she may be the one to put in a late run for the big money.
Churchill Race 7, 6 furlongs $30,000 2L (3:36 ET)
Best Value Play: #1 Pica (5/1)
Most Likely Winner: #6 Medium of Exchange (2/1)
Other Contenders: #7 Pistolera (3/1) #8 Givmethreestepsmr (9/2)
Analysis: Medium of Exchange runs for the Ramsey/Maker connection after a maiden score at Keeneland and being claimed at the Spa from a great trainer. Pistolera trained by that same great trainer that lost the other filly can get revenge here with a fresh runner and good works-an Asmussen specialty. Givmethreestepsmr has faced much tougher for the most part and looks to be ready to roll with the good works. Pica is the potential front runner for Stidham. If the layoff isn’t a bad thing after a debut win, this filly could be a good bet and may be much higher than her morning line.
