Lone Star Race 3, 5 furlongs Claiming $4,000 (8:31 ET)
Best Value Play: #3 Christiesborntorun (9/2)
Most Likely Winner: #6 Jackwagon (5/2)
Other Contenders: #4 Betcho (3/1), #9 Unbridled Eltempo (2/1)

Analysis: Jackwagon runs for red hot connections, returns to battle quickly and is in top form. Betcho is hard to resist having won 13 times in his career and looks to be back in good form. Unbridled Eltempo is an old warrior that tries hard and will be going for a dozen victories, and ran a big race last out. Christiesborntorun represents the successful Asmussen stable, makes his second effort after a freshener and looks ready to go after a good effort in last.

Lone Star Race 7, One Mile Claiming $7,500 3L (10:23 ET)
Best Value Play: #10 Warren’s Clyde (12/1)
Most Likely Winner: #7 Dreamy Kid (2/1)
Other Contenders: #4 War Charger (3/1) #8 Brutus Maximus (8/1)

Analysis: Dreamy Kid may be hard to like for various reasons but it is easier to like him instead of his foes. Connections make this runner more attractive. War Charger goes for Asmussen and should be running late at anything that is still standing. Brutus Maximus returns for the second time after a freshener and sports one of the best resumes of the bunch. Warren’s Clyde gets the hot jock and probably faced a little tougher at Oaklawn. This late threat may be worth the price.
