Saratoga   Race 1,   6 furlongs   Claiming $14,000 3L   (1:00 ET)
Best Value Play: #8 Mischieviously (6/1)
Most Likely Winner: #6 Best Man (2/1)
Other Contenders: #2 Ruby’s Rocketman (7/2), #3 Mister Popsicle (3/1)

Analysis: Best Man returns to battle with a string of good works, a drop in class and is in the hands of one of the best trainers on the east coast. Ruby’s Rocketman returned after a year’s absence and scored. Rosario stays aboard a horse that looks to be an effective stalker. Mister Popsicle posted the highest last raced speed number in the field and was claimed by Maker for the Ramseys when he romped to victory. The layoff of a year is a concern but these connections get to the Winner’s Circle with a wide variety of moves. Mischieviously takes a good drop for a second race layoff effort. The Linda Rice trainee once posted a triple digit number.

Woodbine   Race 7,   6 furlongs   Claiming $20,000 2L   (4:04 ET)
Best Value Play: #3 Mystic Delight (12/1)
Most Likely Winner: #5 Ritzy Lass (7/2)
Other Contenders: #2 Blurricane (5/2) #11 Texas Missy (8/1)

Analysis: Ritzy Lass represents the Casse barn and his top rider is aboard. Even though she won her last, Casse still puts blinkers on her thinking additional improvement will be seen. Blurricane drops from allowance company and has had beneficial works in preparing for a return after a brief rest. Texas Missy runs for Kevin Attard, who pulls a switcheroo or two; route to sprint, turf to main, blinkers on. Got to believe she is alive with Contreras in the irons. Mystic Delight carries a little mystery, but, trainer Sid Attard is one of the best in Canada, and he wins a ton of race in the 10-20 days after a losing effort, and notice that Da Silva is back in the saddle, the only jock that has won with her.
