Analysis: Juba returns to battle after a brief rest and drops from graded stakes company while turning back to a more suitable distance. The well-bred four year old is in good hands with rider Castellano and trainer Jimmy Jerkens. Scatter Joy is a winning machine and invades the spa from New Jersey. He looks to be capable of getting the lead and that could spell trouble for the others. Doc Almon has spent most of his life in the claiming ranks but will probably prove to be a monster if there is a heated speed duel up front. Doubledown Again runs for trainer Michelle Nevin, who has been on fire in ’15. This gelding is another that will like a hot pace and could have good position at the quarter pole with his turn speed.

Analysis: Culprit comes back after a brief rest with a trainer that does well with layoff horses, and drops way down in class. Culprit may be hard to read and tough to predict, but if he brings his best game he will be tough. Howaboutwe has had some terrible finishes but his speed numbers are consistent and not too far from the best of the bunch. Kowboy Boots is a little camera shy but collects a lot of paychecks. Trainer Servis has had a good year and this gelding has proven he can run at a higher level. Who’s Z Daddy must be considered if he draws in from the eligible list, after all, his trainer is named Jacobson. Cloverdale Nine is another from the AE roster that should be considered if he runs. He has had some good races and then others where he was in trouble, but the top reason to fear this one is a trainer named Ward. Igotthediscoinme was recently claimed and turns back to a sprint with the addition of blinkers. He apparently has a late kick and if the blinkers get him rolling sooner than later he may deliver a handsome mutual.
