Woodbine   Race 1,   7 furlongs   Claiming $20,000   (1:00 ET)
Best Value Play: #7 Gentleman Jackson (8/1)
Most Likely Winner: #3 Courtville (5/2)
Other Contenders: #1 Moonshine Martini (3/1), #8 Top Marc in Class (8/1)

Analysis: Courtville takes a big drop after an unsuccessful effort in stakes company. He cuts back to a sprint and gets back on the polytrack, which should suit him fine. Moonshine Martini will run second time after a brief freshener and Husbands gets back on board for Bob Tiller. Top Marc in Class should stay close enough to the pace to have a good chance with his late kick, and his successful partner returns in the saddle. Gentleman Jackson may look a little outclassed but he may very well get the lead without difficulty. With eleven career wins he can be awful brave on the front.

RETURNS OCT. 3RD AT BETPTC.COM

Woodbine   Race 7,   6 furlongs   Claiming $10,000   (4:02 ET)
Best Value Play: #8 Grandma’s House (10/1)
Most Likely Winner: #7 X Squared (3/1)
Other Contenders: #2 Molly Morris (12/1) #4 Miss Victoria (5/2)

Analysis: X Squared seeks class relief and Husbands gets on board for Tiller, and that should get your attention. Molly Morris may be neglected on the board but this gal has run well with this bunch in the past. Miss Victoria has an excellent win percentage and drops back to where she belongs, and Contreras stays aboard. Grandma’s House was declared non-starter in last, and if you toss that race it is easy to see that they got to catch this filly. Stein is the top jock for McKnight and he returns to get the job done.
