Woodbine, Race 2 6 furlongs Claiming $10,000 (1:31 ET)
Best Value Play: #1 Shogun Rua (8/1)
Most Likely Winner: #6 Devoted Wildcat (5/2)
Other Contenders: #8 Click (3/1), #9 Gianni Drama (7/2)
Analysis: Devoted Wildcat is the one to beat with Contreras in the saddle for Drexler, who is tough when he drops his horses in class. Click is a game horse and trainer Ross Armata normally makes good claims. Gianni Drama is attention getting because Husbands gets aboard for trainer Bob Tiller. Is this one ready to fire his shot after another class drop? Shogun Rua will hope the rail is the place to be after a game effort against generally tougher foes last out. This one has a chance to win at a price if Stein can do his magic.
Woodbine Race 5 6 1/2 furlongs Claiming $8,000 3L (3:06 ET)
Best Value Play: #12 Born to Be Queen (15/1)
Most Likely Winner: #5 Solina Bambolina (4/1)
Other Contenders: #1 Canna Red (3/1) #6 Missin Maggie (10/1)
Analysis: Solina Bambolina keeps Stein and will surely be the pacesetter. A duplication of her race in August gets the job done. Canna Red runs for O’Keefe, who has experienced great success this season in Toronto. This one looks to be in a good position if the rail is not a problem. Missin Maggie is a little mystery and goes up in class, but she ran against some of the best on the grounds when she was at Assiniboia Downs. Born to Be Queen removes the blinkers and gets Campbell, and if any of her back class kicks in she can win easily.
