 Woodbine    Race 5   7 furlongs   Claiming $8,000 2L (2:59 ET)

Best Value Play: #12 Where’s the Carat (10/1)

Most Likely Winner: #10 Penthathlon (3/1)

Other Contenders: #1 Spring Likeacobra (6/1), #11 Shifty (4/1)

Analysis: Penthatalon gets Contreras for a trainer he does well for, a blinker change and a class drop. Spring Likeacobra carries the standard for Mark Casse on the class drop plus the trainer gets his money man in the saddle. Shifty is the other part of the uncoupled Casse entry and her best makes her a winner. Where’s the Carat keeps Da Silva and gets a blinker change with a trainer that knows how to play the game.

 Woodbine   Race 6  7 furlongs Claiming $12,500 2L (3:28 ET)

Best Value Play: #4 Millioninthemaking (8/1)

Most Likely Winner: #5 Endeavor’s Dream (5/2)

Other Contenders: #1 Scatland (3/1) #7 Half Pass Fast (4/1)

Analysis: Endeavor’s Dream runs for Gonzalez and his go to rider gets the mount with a drop in class. Scatland takes another drop and cuts back from a route plus gets Lasix. Half Pass Fast looks to be a horse that is improving and his last was a good effort against winners. Millioninthemaking gets blinkers added, which may give him sole possession of the lead, a drop in class and a rider that has been a favorite of this trainer over the year’s.
