PARX Race 1, 5 ½ furlongs Claiming $5,000 (12:55 ET)
Best Value Play: #5 Norte Grande (8/1)
Most Likely Winner: #2 P.A. Thunder (5/2)
Other Contenders: #3 One Sock Down (9/2), #4 Michael’s Trifecta (3/1)
Analysis: P.A. Thunder showed signs of his old self and his back class with a cyclonic finish in his last. He can be tough to handle on his best day. One Sock Down is a threat at this level with his early speed and consistent numbers. Michael’s Trifecta comes back after a freshener and cannot be ignored with his thirteen lifetime wins. Norte Grande has tons of back class, posted a good race in his return after a layoff and has never been off the board at PARX.
PARX Race 3 5 1/2 furlongs Claiming $7,500 3L (1:49 ET)
Best Value Play: #7 Luna Brava (8/1)
Most Likely Winner: #3 Life At Six (5/2)
Other Contenders: #1 Five Star Dixie (9/5) #4 Candy’s Luck (6/1)
Analysis: Life At Six drops below her claimed level in March, adds blinkers and should leave the gate blazing. Five Star Dixie fits well with these and returns after a layoff for one of the best conditioners at PARX. Candy’s Luck doesn’t like the track photographer but can’t be ignored since she normally has a respectable showing at this level. Luna Brava is still lightly raced and due to improve, plus she is reunited with the jock that navigated her pair of victories.
