Tampa   Race 4,   7 furlongs   Claiming $6,250 (1:55 ET)

Best Value Play: #9 Yule Yarns Girl (10/1)

Most Likely Winner: #1 File Gumbo (2/1)

Other Contenders: #3 Moon Over Parador (9/2), #8 Ridge Kitten (3/1)

Analysis: File Gumbo runs for a new and effective stable. Out of a Preakness and Belmont winner, File Gumbo has danced a lot of dances and deserves favoritism. Moon Over Parador is another versatile sort that takes a drop and switches surfaces. Ridge Kitten will leave the gate with some zip and is capable of taking them all the way to the wire. Yule Yarns Girl ships in from Boston for a trainer effective with fresh horses and shippers. This filly will get a good stalking trip and loves to finish first or second.

Tampa   Race 6,   7 furlongs Claiming $25,000 2L (2:53 ET)

Best Value Play: #5 Take Heed (20/1)

Most Likely Winner: #7 China Holiday (6/1)

Other Contenders: #3 Gallico (6/1) #9 Quite the Face (9/2)

Analysis: China Holiday has been facing tougher for a long time and despite the bad race last out, looks to have an edge after posting some good works. Gallico is another that has faced much tougher and has been training well for his return to battle. Quite the Face doesn’t own a great win percentage but it is hard to leave him out considering his speed figures and the company he has faced. Take Heed goes for a trainer that does well with fresh horses. This one has a versatile style and looks ready after a good gate work.
