Turfway Race 3, 6 furlongs Claiming $5,000 (2:06 ET)
Best Value Play: #2 Hancho (5/1)
Most Likely Winner: #3 Night Vision (2/1)
Other Contenders: #5 Tour Ireland (3/1), #7 Thisain’tmyday (7/2)
Analysis: Night Vision had a bad race last time that deserves to be forgotten. He drops down in class to a level he has not seen in over a year-tough if healthy. Tour Ireland going for new family connections that are hot and this old man has a decent career bankroll to make him look like a winner. Thisain’tmyday ships in from Beulah and is going for four in a row. If he likes Kentucky as much as he likes Ohio he will be tough. Hancho is one that runs a big one every now and then. Races here after a rest and ships in from West Virginia.
Turfway Race 5, 6 furlongs Claiming $5,000 2L (3:02 ET)
Best Value Play: #6 Blazing Hellcat (6/1)
Most Likely Winner: #5 Bullmania (5/2)
Other Contenders: #1 Big Stage (6/1) #2 El Ratijo (4/1)
Analysis: Bullmania is capable of wiring the field and comes off an impressive maiden score, ever how cheap it was. Big Stage has weak connections and only one work after a rest. Still, he loves to come flying late and grab a paycheck. El Ratijo is another to vacate West Virginia and come to Kentucky. Good speed figs at Mountaineer and ran okay over the artificial stuff at Presque Isle. Blazing Hellcat mat be overlooked because of the connections, but this guy’s resume is as good, or better than others.
