Keeneland Race 3, 6 1/2 furlongs Starter $7,500 (2:07 ET)
Best Value Play: #8 Peteizum (8/1)
Most Likely Winner: #4 Political Justice (8/5)
Other Contenders: #2 Dreaminofthewin (7/2), #6 More Than Noble (10/1)
Analysis: Political Justice hails from the Maker-Ramsey connections and gets Castellano in the irons, and he is in top form. Dreaminofthewin comes from Tampa where he ran against some of the highest price claimers on the grounds, and his career record is not bad either. More Than Noble has been on a roll since the calendar changed and he should be prepared for battle in Lexington. Peteizum could wax this field if he returned to the form he had last fall, and he is even more dangerous since he has some early zip.
Keeneland Race 4, 6 furlongs Claiming $16,000 (2:38 ET)
Best Value Play: #5 Thunder Affair (10/1)
Most Likely Winner: #3 Brink of War (4/1)
Other Contenders: #4 Proven Warrior (6/1) #7 A. P. Corsair (3/1)
Analysis: Brink of War runs for the second time for Joe Sharp after being claimed in the French Quarter. His drop in class should make a big difference. Proven Warrior has some good speed figures and now runs for Chuck Peery, who does well with his new tenants. A. P. Corsair runs second time after a freshener for Maker and drops in class. Thunder Affair hasn’t won in a while but this guy knows how to get a paycheck and the class drop will help.
