Saratoga    Race 5,    6 furlongs    Claiming $25,000   (3:13 ET)
Best Value Play: #2 Bull Dozer (8/1)
Most Likely Winner: #4 Bellarmine (4/1)
Other Contenders: #3 Regulus (7/2), #8 S’maverlous (5/2)

Analysis: Bellarmine always takes action at the windows unless he is in a graded stakes event. He comes Presque Isle after running a week ago and drops way below his normal level. Regulus has a high win percentage and takes a drop for a trainer that knows where to put them. S’maverlous has been a hot commodity at the claim box and looks like he will get a stalking trip to go along with his class drop. Bull Dozer is an old pro that has won 16 times and even though his last left a lot to be desired his recent workout signals readiness.

Saratoga    Race 9,    9 furlongs turf    Allowance 1X    (5:32 ET)
Best Value Play: #1 Great Dancer (12/1)
Most Likely Winner: #7 Macagone (3/1)
Other Contenders: #3 Team Colors (5/2) #6 Elmutahid (7/2)

Analysis: Macagone loves the turf and will simply try to run their feet off, and don’t be surprised if he does it. Team Colors is bred to run on the grass and all day long. Castellano stays on board and he gets blinkers, which should put him in the game a little earlier. Elmutahid has been creeping back into form and is trained by one of the best on the east coast. His last was a good effort, he is bred for the green and today may be the day. Great Dancer is adapting to the states and blinkers and if he has matured even a slight bit since his last the probability of a top performance increases significantly.
