Best Value Play: #7 Mr. Baker (20/1)

Most Likely Winner: #3 Thunder Hole (2/1)

Other Contenders: #4 Favorite Uncle (4/1), #5 Belief System (3/1)

 Analysis: Thunder Hole has the numbers, is in top form, and goes for the team of Eddie Plesa and Paco Lopez, which makes him tough to ignore. Favorite Uncle may be a little hard to figure and could have some problems, but his past warrants a second look and his works signal readiness. Belief System runs for Mike Maker and gets Castellano to navigate, plus a class drop. Mr. Baker takes a drop and has some good races on his resume. His last may not look good but there was fire coming from the track when they ran that one.

Gulfstream Race 4, One Mile Claiming $10,000 2L (2:07 ET)

Best Value Play: #3 Golden Tornado (12/1)

Most Likely Winner: #7 Jump Kitten (5/2)

Other Contenders: #1 Top Excitement (3/1) #8 Casino Day (8/1)

 Analysis: Jump Kitten runs for Wesley Ward, drops in class and does so with a freshening-a recipe for victory. Top Excitement tested the grass last out and now comes back to a distance and surface that is better for him. Casino Day runs for a new barn and looks good on paper with some past big numbers; only the barn is in question. Golden Tornado has an unreliable past but has generally seen tougher. He comes back after a layoff, a stat that makes his trainer shine, plus he takes the blinkers off. Maybe, at a big price.
