Gulfstream   Race 3,   7 furlongs   Claiming $30,000 (1:38 ET)

Best Value Play: #2 Chief Carlson (8/1)

Most Likely Winner: #3 Dominant Jeannes (2/1)

Other Contenders: #1 Closerwalk (5/2), #8 Kings Over (4/1)

Analysis: Dominant Jeannes always looked to be well prepared by trainer Jason Servis. Takes a drop, turns back and should be close enough to do as he pleases. Closerwalk will probably set the pace and the longer he stays on the lead the tougher he will be to catch. Kings Over runs for a hot barn and gets a Derby winning rider. Looks even better after the layoff. Chief Carlson goes for a new barn that does well with claimed runners and is an off the pace threat.

Gulfstream   Race 5,   6 furlongs   Optional $25,000 1X (2:36 ET)

Best Value Play: #3 Be Brave (4/1)

Most Likely Winner: #7 Imperial Czar (2/1)

Other Contenders: #2 Really Sharp (8/1) #6 Red Hot Randy (3/1)

Analysis: Imperial Czar looks to be prepared after a freshener and gets a perfect post to stalk. Really Sharp has been away a long time but his trainer is a slick one and the class drop gets your attention. Red Hot Randy is capable of winning but has done little of it, however, he keeps Leparoux and should get the trip he needs. Be Brave is a possible longshot trained by Maker and owned by the Ramseys. Yes, it is possible. And that may be all you need to know.
