Lone Star   Race 7   6 furlongs   Allowance 2L (5:23 ET)

Best Value Play: #2 Added Expectation (15/1)

Most Likely Winner: #5 Hang Cool (6/5)

Other Contenders: #7 Cowboy Ed (6/1), #9 Bully Good (5/2)

Analysis: Hang Cool looks to be unbeatable on paper and shows excellent workouts in preparation for his return to action. Cowboy Ed ran a monster race in his debut and comes in prepared by a guy named Asmussen. Bully Good ran well in Okie City and is a major player for trainer Bret Calhoun. Added Expectation ran well in a return to battle a couple of weeks ago and now comes back with blinkers. A capable gelding that goes for good connections.

Presque Isle   Race 8   5 1/2 furlongs  Claiming $7,500 (8:20 ET)

Best Value Play: #2 Maid for Joe (6/1)

Most Likely Winner: #5 Gentle One (7/2)

Other Contenders: #6 Return Engagement (4/1) #7 Pompous Time (10/1)

Analysis: Gentle One runs for the Rice-Cox connection, takes a class drop, loves Presque Isle and its surface. Return Engagement gets a solid rider with Speith and is a threat to wire this field with her speed. Pompous Time comes back after a freshener, has plenty of back class and can stalk any speed from the outside post. Maid for Joe runs for a good barn and gets a true master in the irons. She comes in from Baltimore looking for the track and surface she obviously loves-and gets it.
