Churchill   Race 2,   6 Claiming   $50,000 2L  (1:08 ET)
Best Value Play: #8 Bordini (15/1)
Most Likely Winner: #4 How About Him (4/1)
Other Contenders: #1 Sound of Freedom (9/2), #7 Go Vo (3/1)

Analysis: How About Him is trained by the talented Chris Hartman, who got this gelding from Larry Jones. Ran well at this level in Lexington and comes back at the same tag, and this time he gets the hot Santana in the irons. Sound of Freedom is always bet and lost as the chalk in his last three efforts. Game and consistent, today he may just make all of the right sounds. Go Vo gets Leparoux on the drop from allowance company. He has never made a turnaround in ten days so his trainer must think he is fit. Bordini, at first glance, may look weaker than the others, but it appears that he may have been facing tougher for quite some time. Should be worth a few bucks if the price stays high.

Churchill   Race 9,   7 furlongs   Claiming $30,000 2L   (4:35 ET)
Best Value Play: #10 Apocalypse (15/1)
Most Likely Winner: #3 Jrock (7/2)
Other Contenders: #1 California Coast (4/1) #6 Robinwood (5/1)

Analysis: Jrock couldn’t get it done as a favorite in his last pair so he drops down a notch or two. Top jock Lanerie stays with him. California Coast has the eye catching connections of Asmussen and Santana. It will be the second race after Asmussen claimed him and that alone makes him more appealing. Robinwood doesn’t have a big name trainer but his breeding says 6-7 furlongs. He does get veteran Court in the saddle and this one could pop the gate and be a winning escort for the others. Apocalypse has turned his life around after he was claimed by Hartman. This one is improving and a sparkling performance should be forthcoming.
