Woodbine   Race 6   6 furlongs   Optional Claiming $62,500 2X (3:27 ET)

Best Value Play: #1A More Than Special (15/1)

Most Likely Winner: #7 Dancing Ashley (5/2)

Other Contenders: #3 Bear’s Paul (2/1), #5 Russian Jewel (4/1)

Analysis: Dancing Ashley has never run a bad race and she comes into this one in top form. The switch back to polytrack is of no concern and Husbands stays aboard. Bear’s Paul goes for five in a row after drifting all the way to the bottom. Her early zip makes her very dangerous. Russian Jewel departs stakes company and should find this field friendlier than the past few she has faced. More Than Special has been banging on the door in high priced claiming company and should be rolling late.

Woodbine   Race 7   7 furlongs Optional Claiming $ 20,000 (3:56 ET)

Best Value Play: #11 Walkers Terrace (8/1)

Most Likely Winner: #7 Battle for Gold (6/1)

Other Contenders: #2 Perfect Tay (3/1) #5 Rebellion on Top (7/2)

Analysis: Battle for Gold runs second time after a alyoff as a beaten favorite and drops in class. Husbands stays up and this trainer’s best success comes with him in the saddle. Perfect Tay may not pose for the picture much, but it seems like he is always battling tough guys. Rebellion on Top has the makings of being a top older horse next year, and he must be considered now because he seems to be improving with every race. Walkers Terrace was claimed by Tiller for much more and we have yet to see his best day. He may be in a little tough today but Da Silva stays on and all year the outside is much preferred going seven furlongs in Toronto.
