Keeneland Race 6, 7 furlongs Claiming $16,000 (4:00 ET)
Best Value Play: #5 Windsurfer (15/1)
Most Likely Winner: #9 Magical Moment (5/1)
Other Contenders: #6 Oltre’ Oro (9/2), #10 Take It Like a Man (6/1)
Analysis: Magical Moment goes for career win number sixteen and has all the tools to get the job done, and if it is wet, then so much the better. Oltre’ Oro was claimed from last by a sharp young trainer named…Sharp. He is in top form and fits well at this level, and he has a good record on an off track. Take It Like a Man ships in after a freshener, takes a drop in class and has a perfect record on off tracks. Windsurfer is a steady performer that gets off the grass which does not suit him, and returns to the dirt, where he has an excellent record if things are wet. He has some tactical speed and is usually bet well.
Woodbine Race 9, 6 1/2 furlongs Allowance 1X (4:57 ET)
Best Value Play: #5 Holy McNasty (12/1)
Most Likely Winner: #3 Conquest Quickdraw (8/5)
Other Contenders: #2 Ted W (6/1) #7 Ninth Symphony (5/1)
Analysis: Conquest Quickdraw is an expensive youngster, in good form, with a hot recent work. And if that is not enough then note he is ridden by Pat Husbands for trainer Mark Casse. Ted W can be forgiven for his last. He is always bet well and has more than enough credentials to compete with these. Ninth Symphony has been knocking heads with some good ones, is very consistent and should get a nice stalking trip from the outside. Holy McNasty has a cool name but more importantly a lot of early speed. He changed barns after last and is managed by a hot trainer. A coast to coast performance is possible.
