Losers’ Report: Ami’s Flatter got crushed in the Florida Derby but held OK on the third slot. Looks well spotted for a second-tier 3yo campaign. Glenard did not make an impact in the mile and a half Pan American, probably needs a shorter distance – I would say 9 furlongs. Mr. Online got another terrible ride in the Appleton and I do not know why. I am going to stick with this horse because at the very least he can win a high-level allowance race. Anniversary Kitty was forced to track a very slow pace and it did not suit her come from behind tactics.
Stable Drops:
None
Stable Adds – Domestic:
Ocho Ocho Ocho is in search of a Ky Derby entry, and in his last race his front legs got “cut up.” In my mind he is a very logical play to turn things around in the Blue Grass Stakes.
International Star just keeps winning races and I think he has a great chance to be in the Kentucky Derby superfecta.
Chocolate Ride appears to be on a roll as well and I don’t think this one needs to be alone on the lead to be dangerous.
Stable Adds – out of Dubai World Cup day:
Dolniya is a 4 year old mare that runs for excellent French owner/trainer connections and she just beat the top two finishers of the 2014 Breeders’ Cup Turf easily. Can win on the front or just off of it, this one is a serious threat for Royal Ascot in June, the Arc de Triomphe in early October and the 2015 Breeders’ Cup Turf.
What’s On Tap this Saturday:
Tiz Shae D – Wood Memorial
Ocho Ocho Ocho – Blue Grass Stakes
Bolo – Santa Anita Derby
