BIEN BON (Race 1@FG, February 27, 2014, Mile and 70 yards, Claiming $5,000) Third choice was off slow and raced at the rear gradually moving up while traveling wide. Went to the inside in far turn and then swung very wide before entering the stretch. Could not run down front runner, who set a slow pace all the way around.
MISS MACABE (Race 3@FG, February 27, 2014, Mile and 70 yards, Claiming $5,000) Fourth choice was bumped hard and knocked sideways at the start, was very wide on both turns, and the rider lost the whip before the stretch. A bad, bad day for this one.

BIG JOHN B (Race 10@GP, February 26, 2014, 1 1/16 miles turf, Claiming $35,000) Second choice was in tight was little and hesitated into first turn, then traveled along the rail. Began to move when the field hit the turn but was boxed in behind a wall of foes, then went back to rail and tried to get through. Had a chance inside the furlong marker and almost made in through but was shut off, checked hard and was under tight restraint until the wire losing all chances.
BURN THE MORTGAGE (Race 6@GP, February 27, 2014, Starter) Favorite ran in hand behind front runners and tried to get through at top of the stretch but there was no room, began to rally about a furlong out but was squeezed and shut off while trying to make a move, checked and lost all hope, still finished a good third.

BONITA RITA (Race 2@HAW, February 28, 2014, 6 furlongs, Maiden Claiming $8,000) Favorite stumbled badly and bore into the rail at the start losing a great deal of ground. She was then rushed up and eventually got to the fourth position. The start and forced rush took its toll and she flattened out.
BIGTIME MAC (Race 7@HAW, February 28, 2014, 5 ½ furlongs, Claiming $7,500) Fourth Choice stumbled and went to his knees at the start. Made up ground and reached the field when entering the far turn then was checked off of heels losing more ground as the field started to run around the turn. He kept coming at the leaders and rallied up the rail and looked like the winner until he was checked in tight against the rail at the 1/16th pole. He didn’t quit and only lost by a neck.

SILK IN SILVER (Race 1@SA, February 27, 2014, 1 1/16 miles, Maiden Claiming $20,000) Favorite had a horrible start, stumbling badly and being left more than a half dozen behind. The filly gradually made up ground and was close to lead but behind a wall of horse as the field hit the stretch. She was cut off and forced to check sharply losing valuable ground. She did keep going to get third.
