#6 Gordian Knot is a late runner in the hands of Luca Panici for Guadalupe Preciado. He comes off a three month break and the barn wins 34% for nongraded stakes. His sire Social Inclusion wins 17% first time on the turf. Sharp works have him ready to fire off the bench. #5 Dr. Orsean is a speedy son of Kitten’s Joy for Christophe Clement and Jose Ortiz. He comes off a 51 day break and the rider and trainer are 2 for 2 the past two weeks. #4 Crispy Cat hails from the barn of Jorge Delgado and Paco Lopez. 2nd off the layoff shipping in from Wolverhampton and just missed by a neck last out. The rider switch may do the trick today.

He cuts back 110 yards and should be a major player at the top of the lane. He was a beaten favorite last out and looks to turn the tables. #1 Straighonahighnote is a first timer by Girvin and he wins 20% with his first time runners. His dam Shelby’s Song has 2 winners from 3 starters. Saffie Joseph brings his colt to post with a rail draw and Patrick Husbands in the irons.

#7 My Sweet Affair is a late running daughter of Twirling Candy for George Weaver. She was an impressive off the pace winner at first asking and moved up the ladder winning 13% off the 2nd time outing. Weaver is winning 21% at the meet and looks to have a solid gal going to post. #8 Flor de Sombra is a speedster shipping in from Penn National shooting for three in a row. Jose Ortiz has the call and with sharp work and a trainer who wins 34% with nongraded stakes, she has a solid shot. #5 Sassy Nature is a speedy filly for Jack Sisterson and Julien Leparoux in the saddle. Her sire Straight Fire wins 31% with 1st time turf runners and he did not disappoint last out first time on the sod. Looking to make it two straight, and will be tough on the front end.

Late running daughter of Flatter and she makes a 2nd off the layoff shipping in from TBD where the barn scores 19%. She may do better with the shorter distance and she is 5 for 6 ITM lifetime. #5 Swayin to and Fro is a speedy filly for Mario Serey and Richard Monterrey getting the call. She is 8 for 8 ITM at Laurel with six wins. Dangerous is left alone on the lead. #8 Fille d’ Esprit is a stalker from the John Robb barn with Xavier Perez in the irons. Seven furlongs can have her close to the pace and be tough to handle if she gets the trip.

#8 Factor It In is a late running son of The Factor. He is 8 for 12 ITM over the course and is seeking to make it three in a row. He’s moving up in class a notch and sports a bullet work to prepare. #3 Beren has good early speed and is 2 for 2 ITM at Laurel. He is 3 for 7 ITM at the distance and should be a major player on the pace. #6 Pirate Rick is a speedy son of Liam’s Map with Jose Gomez in the saddle. Was a beaten favorite last out and the barn won 24% turning the table and coming back to score.

She was beaten chalk last out and looks to get payback today. #3 Midnight Stroll hails from the John Terranova barn with Edgard Zayas in the saddle. She is a midflight stalker and her last race in the G2 Raven Run was a solid effort combined with sharp work coming into the race. #5 Classy Edition hails from the Todd Pletcher barn with Irad Ortiz getting the call. She is 2 for 2 ITM at GP and with the 2nd time off the layoff runners, the Todd Squad comes back to win 24%.

#4 Hit Show is a son of Candy Ride making his 4th start for Brad Cox and Manny Franco in the irons. Lasix comes off for today and ships in from OP. Bullet work looks promising and should give a strong account of himself. #3 Jungfrau is 3rd off the layoff for Bill Mott with Dylan Davis in the irons. This son of Arrogate was put up in a DQ last out and looks to set the tables straight today. Dangerous player. #1 Arctic Arrogance is a speedy son of Frosted for Linda Rice and Jose Lezcano getting the call. Tons of early foot and has faced the big boys. Blinkers on today and the barn scores 14% on this equipment change.

The Todd Squad wins 25% off the last race win. #6 Guns n’ Graces is a stalking daughter of Gun Runner who is 2 for 2 ITM and scores 27% off a last race win for Chad Brown.

He will come running late and enjoy the added ground to run. #11 Litigate is a son of Blame for Pletcher and the Todd Squad with Luis Saez in the saddle taking over for Javier Castellano. The rider’s change is a big move and expects him to be in the shadow of the wire. #7 Dubynell hails from the Danny Gargan barn with Jose Ortiz in the driver’s seat. Seeking three in a row should be right on the pace today.

#1 Lord Miles is a late running son of Curlin for Saffie Joseph with Irad Ortiz in the irons. He is 2 for 2 ITM at GP and adds Blinkers where the barn scores 21% on this equipment change. He sports a bullet work and has the rail post. Look for a strong late move at the quarter pole. #4 Cyclone Mischief hails from the Dale Romans barn with Tyler Gaffalione in the driver’s seat. A $450k sales purchase was meant to be something special. His three year old career will tell the tale and today may be his coming out party as he drops Lasix today as he tries his 2nd start of 2023. #6 Legacy Isle is a son of Shackleford who is a perfect 3 for 3 but was DQ’ed last out. All of his work is at GP and should be right on the engine today. Take a look at that sharp work last out and he looks like a shiny penny. I doubt you’ll get your value, but he’ll be one of the top players.

Race #3 – The G-3 Robert B. Lewis – 1 1/16 miles dirt – 4:05 pm

A compact field of four where I guarantee Bob Baffert will win the race. He has all four runners going to post.

#2 Newgate is a stalking son of Into Mischief for Baffert with Frankie Dettori in the irons. This is his 2nd start of the year and during his two year old season he faced some tough customers. He ran a game 2nd last out in the G3 Sham and gets 110 more yards to seal the deal. Dettori continues his American tour on his final year and looks to have a major player. #1 Arabian Lion is a lightly raced son of Justify for Baffert with the rail draw for his 2023 debut. His bullet work shows readiness and John Velasquez aboard is a good sign as they win 20% together. #3 Worchester is a late running son of Empire Maker for Baffert, who has the entire short field, and J.J. Hernandez. He’s been sprinting and turns it up to a route for the first time. Still a maiden, but Baffert has him in for a reason.

Hiles is a solid horseman and knows how to ready a horse well when it comes time to move up the ladder. She is 1 for 2 ITM at GP and gets added distance to come rolling. #5 Adventuring is a stalking daughter of Pioneer of the Nile for Brad Cox and Joel Rosario. She should be close to the pace today and Rosario wins 26% with up close speedsters. #2 Personal Best is a late running daughter of Tapit for Shug McGaughey and Irad Ortiz. The rider is one of the best finishers in the game and wins 24% with his turf closers.

#4 Obligatory is a late running daughter of Curlin for Bill Mott and Jose Ortiz as they have had a two month layoff exiting the BC Filly and Mare Sprint. She has sparkling works at Payson Park and is 2 for 2 at GP. Mott fires at a 17% clip fresh off the bench. #7 Maryquitecontrary is a late running daughter of First Dude for Joe Catanese and Luca Panici. A late running filly who is 6 for 6 ITM lifetime and has a strong late kick looking to go six straight. #10 R Adios Jersey is a speedy daughter of Adios Charlie with Paco Lopez in the irons. Lopez wins 22% with sprints and will be the main pace factor.

Race #9 – The G3 William L. McKnight – 1 1/2 on the turf – 3:01 pm

#11 Red Knight hails from the barn of Mike Maker and Irad Ortiz in the irons. He’s a late runner coming off a two month layoff and dropping down in class from the G1 BC Turf. This son of Pure Prize has a solid late punch and will be heard from down the lane. #6 Temple is a son of Temple City for Mike Maker and Florent Geroux in the saddle. He is 12 for 15 ITM at GP and has a strong late run. Geroux is 34% ITM with his turf runners. #1 Time for Trouble goes to post for Jeff Hiles and draws the rail spot. He is a solid player making the jump in class, and Hiles knows how to bring his runners along well.

He comes off a two month break from the BC Turf and should fit nicely into the race. The rider and trainer are 3 for 3 the past 14 days as a team. Look for a well timed ride showing late speed. #4 Hurricane Dream ships in from Longchamp for Graham Motion exiting Gr2 company. Frankie Dettori in the irons and must always be respected when he has a call.

He also sports a bullet work and has a sharp turn of foot from the gate break. Ortiz wins 28% with route runners and this one is sitting on a big effort for Baffert. #10 Cyberknife hails from the Brad Cox barn with Florent Geroux in the saddle. The son of Gun Runner comes off a layoff since KEE in the BC Dirt Mile. He is always game and with a little racing luck can easily take down the prize. #4 White Abarrio is Saffie Joseph’s trainee with Tyler Gafflione in the saddle. He is a perfect 4 for 4 at GP and comes off a 56 day break. The rider and trainer are winning 31% as a team, and he’ll be looking to stalk just off the pace.

Add in a sharp work and he could be ready to come calling down the lane on his way to the winner’s circle. #8 Pirate Rick is a speedy son of Liam’s Map for trainer Lynn Cash. He is looking to make it four in a row shipping in from AQU.
