Always a great card at Santa Anita to kick their meet off, that is why the focus on the late pick 4 there today. The late pick 4 not only is a great sequence of top notch racing but it is very playable.

Race#6 The 1 is the obvious horse and has the potential to be a superstar. The 1 will need to be able to stalk, if can then she wins. There is so much speed in here and the tricky seven furlong distance makes is very tough to go gate to wire. I will be using the stalking types and the seven furlong experts. The horse that fits best is the 3, she may not be the fastest but the race should set up for her. The 9 may be in over her head but will be closing late.

Race#7 The class in here is the 7, but once again the race shape will not favour him in here. Looking again at the closers, the 1,9. Both need a trip but will be flying late. Another longshot is the 11 and could also get there.

Race#8 The race goes through the 8. Do not have to explain his last race out. I think the trainer wants to prove a point in here and has him primed to crush the field. The only one I might consider to try and beat him is the 2 on the front end.

Race#9 The 7,8 are the horses with the experience and dropping in from a stakes race. Neither are superstars and could be upset. 1,3,11,12 if you want to key early and take a shot and huge return
