Feb. 15th at Golden Gate

The Golden Pick 6 at Golden Gate has grown to have over $273,000 in the pool. With the small field size I do not expect this to be won before mandatory payout day, but the payoffs lately have been huge for simply hitting the sequence. Simply beat one Baze/Hollendorfer horse and the payout goes way up. I thought today was a good day to take a shot, especially with many east coast tracks closed due to weather.

Golden Gate Race#4 Pick 6     Post time  5:45pm eastern

Let’s hope they remember to move the starting get for the other races as they didn’t in the 1st. Obviously mechanical problems.

Race#4 A small field that four out of five can win it. I like the 5 best, has the numbers and needed to drop. The 2 may have figured it out finally and a repeat effort make him a winner.

Race#5 Going to take a chance in here and key the 3, yes even after a maiden win. Like her last race quite a bit, a similar effort makes her better than the rest. The rest need to improve to beat the 3. All or key in this race

Race#6 The 4 could control the early pace and will try and steal it. The 2 will stalk close the 3,5 are your closers. I think the 5 can upset the 3, even with Baze on the 3. 5 is  sitting on win, take note of the two workouts before the race, as the 3 has none.

Race#7 The obvious horse is the 6. Typical Sherman making a big drop. I can’t key him though, thus needed the 1,5,7 as well. Not much help in here.

Race#8 This is always a tricky condition. The 3 is probably the early speed and only needs slight improvement to win again. The 1,4 are horse the just run evenly and that may be enough to win the race if the 3 falters.

Race#9 Another key only because I am not going to spend lots on the ticket today. The 1 is the most likely winner. The horse is nothing special but should get the right trip and take over late.

Here is a possible ticket: 1,2,3,5/3/2,3,4,5/1,5,6,7/1,3,4/1   Cost : $38.40
