February 26 at Gulfstream

The weekend had two very close calls on a single ticket winning the rainbow 6 at gulfstream. I do not think that will happen today. A couple of tricky races and a couple stronger plays in the sequence.

Gulfstream Park Race#5 Post time 3:06pm eastern

Race#5 This is a scary race to open the sequence. A small field of bad horses. By process of eliminations I am leaning to 2,6, after those it becomes an all leg.

Race#6 A rare run distance so I focused more on the horses with success at similar distances.
2,8,10 all have a shot, I expect the 2 to have an improved effort. My longshot is the 4, should get a stalking trip and if ready can win. The 4 is looks ready for a top effort. I will be boxing these horses in the trifecta and the super.

Race#7 The 2 is the definition of horse for course. The race goes through him to win. Stalking trip on the rail, takes over late. I have to take a stand somewhere and this is the leg. Others to look at 3,9

Race#8 Do not trust this race at all. The obvious choice is the 9 but I like 7. A good class drop and the race should set up for him as a deep closer. There is a fair amount of early pace, so a closer should win this race. 9 is a closer so certainly can win.

Race#9 The 8 needs to clear early and then can win. She doesn’t pass horses so that is the only concern. Class drop does make her tough. 2,4 will get the trip, but are they good enough

Race#10 Wide open race but a few can’t win. The ones that I like are the 2,8 best. Like their class drop and especially like the 8,being a horse that likes to win. Others to consider 1,10.

Here is a small ticket I am going to play:    2,6/2,4,6,8,10/2/7,9/8/1,2,8,10   cost; $16.00
