Friday Night Australian Racing 5/28/2015

Race 7B (Doomben) – The “Queensland Oaks” – 3yoF, Group 1, 11 furlongs.  Purse = AUD $500,000.  Post time 1:57 AM EDT Saturday.  Picks 1-4-2-5

Not sure anyone in this lineup really wants the 11 furlongs, but it is a Group 1 so the excitement level should be there.

#1 Bohemian Lily (9/2 ML) crushed in the local prep and she was scary good.  O’reilly is a good distance sire too so If you can get the 9/2 ML price (which I do not expect) jump in.

#4 Ballet Suite (13/1 ML) appears to be getting good right now.  The wide draw hurts her chances but there will be a long run into the first turn.  Her sire High Chaparral dominates these races in Australia.

#2 Winx (3/1 ML) needed to go to a smaller provincial track to get a modest Group 3 win.  Usually puts in good speed figures but the top two appear to be going better right now.

#5 Rustic Melody (18/1 ML) has sprinter/miler breeding so 11 furlongs might be too far but her speed figures are marginally competitive and she can be a factor in the third and fourth slots in the superfecta.
