Race 1B (Randwick):  Heritage Stakes (AUD $100,000):  5.5 furlongs, 3yo, 10:40 PM EDT

I am going to keep this simple.  #2 Haptic was one of the better 2yo last year.  Came back this August, ran into the exceptional Japonisme first off the layoff, and despite being 11/1 (usually death in Aussie for a horse making a comeback) he showed high speed before finishing 3rd, only beaten 1 and 1/2 lengths. Haptic should be much fitter today and he drew well enough to save a fair amount of ground from post 4.

5/2 or better “win odds” on Haptic would be a good deal.  Currently on the “tote” Haptic is 9/2 win odds (5.50 decimal odds).
