Going with #7 La Venta (post 8) here at 5/1 on the morning line.  She was jumped up from essentially a “non-winners of 1 other than” (BM78) into a restricted stake, where she put in a good enough run.  She finds much softer in here (BM80) and has the speed to be prominent throughout, especially at this seven furlong distance.  La Venta’s third race off the layoff should have her at her peak fitness.  She also gets 10 pounds from the top weight (#1), who won this condition last time.
