Gulfstream Park Race #11 – The G-3 Royal Delta – 1 1/16 – 5:16 pm Selections / #3 – Eres Tu / #2 – Gibberish / #1 – High Regard

#3 Eres Tu is a daughter of Malibu Moon coming off a 56 days layoff seeking her 4th straight win. She sports some bullet works and cuts back in distance for Arnaud Delacour who wins 22% with his shippers. A perfect stalker in the hands of Irad Ortiz as he wins 23% with his stalking  runners. #2 Gibberish is a speedy daughter of Lea for Saffie Joseph and Tyler Gaffalione. Been off for two months and working red hot in the mornings. She is 3 for 4 ITM at GP and should come out winging. #1 High Regard is a deep closer for Victoria Oliver and Javier Castellano. The rail is winning at 19% for the meet and exits off an impressive win at CD. Castellano wins 20% with closers and should fire fresh coming off the shelf.



Race #7 – The G-3 Barbara Fritchie – 7f – 3:46 pm Selections / #8 – Hello Beautiful / #3 – Don’tletsweetfoolya / #1 – Sharp Star

#8 Hello Beautiful is a speedy daughter of Golden Lad for Brittany Russell and Sheldon Russell.  They win 27% as a team and makes her 2nd start of 2021. She should be right off the lead and look to work out a perfect trip drafting behind the leaders. #3 Don’tletsweetfoolya sports plenty of early foot and is 6 for 7 ITM an Laurel. Jevian Toledo in the irons seeking his 6th straight win. She’s been off 56 days and looks to fire fresh from her past performances. #1 Sharp Star has been away for 48 days and is a strong late runner. She is 2 for 2 ITM going 7f and should relish the fast early pace today.

Race #8 – The G-3 General George – 7f – 4:19 pm Selections / #1 – Laki / #2 – Funny Guy / #6 – Share the Ride

#1 Laki is a late runner for a barn that wins a strong 20% in graded stakes. He gets added distance from 6f and sports a bullet work on 2/6/21 going 46.2.  Talented runner should be a little closer than usual and drawing the rail should allow him to save ground. Horacio Karamanos has the call for Damon Dilodovico. #2 Funny Guy Is a late running son of Big Brown for John Terranova and Sheldon Russell who is winning 24% at the meet. This is his 2nd start of the year and is 4 for 5 ITM going 7f. #6 Share the Ride is a stalking son of Candy Ride making his 3rd off the layoff move. He was a beaten favorite last out and the barn comes back to score 20% on this move.


Santa Anita

Race #7 – The G-2 Buena Vista – 1 mile on the turf – 6:30 pm Selections / #5 – Red Lark / #8 – Charmaine’s Mia / #2 – Mucho Unusual

#5 Red Lark is a daughter of Epaulette (AUS) for Patrick Gallagher and Drayden Van Dyke in the irons. DVD is ITM 36% with his turf runners and should have this late running gal in good order turning for home. She’s been off 56 days and drops back down in class. #8 – Charmaine’s Mia is a daughter of The Factor for Phil D’Amato with Flavien Prat aboard. She is 1 for 1 at SA and is a patient mid pack stalker. Prat wins 28% with his stalking turf runners and the barn scores 21% 2nd time off the shelf. Factor in the bullet works and she’s a big player to be respected. #2 Mucho Unusual is a Mucho Macho Man daughter who is 9 for 9 ITM at SA. She is seeking her 3rd straight win with Abel Cedillo in the irons. She is 7 for 8 ITM at the distance and her dam Not Unusual has five starters, 5 winners, and 5 turf winners to her credit.


The inaugural running of The Saudi Cup saw 22 Group or Grade 1 winners compete across an eight-race card for a total prize pot of over $29M.  In 2021 the prize purse was increased to $30.5M and the number of Group and Grade 1 winners entered to run this Saturday is 31. A new race on the card is the $500,000 Saudi International Handicap, introduced for horses trained in developing racing nations.
