BetPTC.com Selections / #1 – Vequist / #2 – Cantata / #4 – Joy’s Rocket

#1 Vequist comes in for Robert Reid with Luis Saez aboard. She’s a daughter of Nyquist and flashes good early foot. Her dam Vero Amore has 3 starters and 3 winners to her credit. That was an impressive win in the G1 Spinaway and she looks to build on that for bigger things to come. #2 Cantata had a huge maiden win for Steve Asmussen. This is a big jump in class and could be considered the acid test for future outings. Joel Rosario in the irons and he wins with 18% of his closers. #4 Joy’s Rocket is a speedy gal for Asmussen and Jose Ortiz. The rider is one of the best speed riders in the county winning 18% with early speed. She could play the role of the rabbit for her stable mate.
