Lets make some money today at tracks that have some dead money for us. Today’s main focus will be Arlington’s pick 5, but it never hurts to take a brief look at Gulfstream Park’s rainbow 6

Gulfstream Race#3 Not a big fan to open up the rainbow 6. The race should be on turf for a few of them. Only going to use the 1,4 in here. The 1 should go to the lead and try and steal it, the 4 will stalk. A repeat effort of her last one she can win.

Race#4 Similar to the 3rd, the 4 is the closer and the 5 is the speed. Both have the figures. The sleeper in the field is the 1. Should get a trip along the rail and close late

Race#5 The 6 is my play today after sizzling fractions last time out, a better pace early and she can win. The class is the 4, strange trainer move but has the figures to win in a bad bunch.

Race#6 A wide open race but will narrow it down to the 3 that will control the pace. If she tires then the 2 or 6 could win. Longshot is the 5 with breeding that could allow her to upset at a price

Race#7 The race goes through the 8, could bounce and if so opens it up for the 4 and 6. Big longshot in here is the 1 but needs to improve from last year to win.

Race#8 1,12 are the most likely winners but are the losing types that usually win more than they win. The 7 is the horse that usually beats the 1,12 types.

Arlington is not an easy sequence once I looked at it a little more, but here goes.

Arlington’s Race#5 The 3 is a horse at a price that can start the sequence off nicely. An improving horse, if we get a battle early, he can win. The 6 has the class and can win as well, likely fav.

Race#6 The 3 will be the favourite but is the plotting type that just runs evenly. Has the class to win, but if another horse in here improves a little, they can win. 2,5,7 all have a reason to improve a little that might be enough to win.

Race#7 I like the 5 the best and if I didn’t key him I would need a bunch. Sitting on a win and has the figures to close, needs a little bit of a speed duel early.

Race#8 Remember this, the morning line guy at Arlington is terrible. They have the 4 at 9-5, is a contender and certainly can win but 9-5, really ?  5 and the 1a have a shot, to win. Do not trust this race.

Race#9 The 8 is the most likely winner but do not trust him simply because lacks the closing kick, upset possible. The 3 has a few angles that are an interesting play for.
