It is Laurel’s closing day so the jackpot must be paid out. Sloppy track and small fields. Normal conditions of not mandatory payout it would not be a play. Free money that must be paid out, is a must play.

Laurel Race #5 Post time 1:28pm

Race #5 The 1 will be the favourite after the 6 being scratch. The 1 is not much but has his 1 win on the off track. My choice in here is the 4. The invader from Aqueduct, two back makes him a winner.

Race#6 I do not like these kind of fields at all. Small mid claimer field that I do not trust any of the horses in here. The obvious choice is the 5 who loves to win. Is taking a slight rise in class and certainly can win but not a key. After the 5 you most of the others

Race#7 A repeat effort on the 3 gives him a good chance to win, but will he bounce. The 9 won big last time out too, but if the 3,9 hook anything can win. If race run properly they will run 1st, 2nd.

Race#8 A few scratches leaves only the 3,5 in here. The 3 will be the favourite but is not a single for me because the 5 has some nice angles to upset

Race#9 Another expected big favourite with the 6. Should improve off her last effort but there are others that can upset. The 5 has won four times already and the 3 has won three times. Both have a shot.

I am off to help a friend of mine in the Horse Player’s tourney at the Orleans today. His ticket  had a good day yesterday picking up 2nd place money and have a shot to win it all.
