There are two good carry overs today, one at Belmont and the other at Gulfstream. I found the Belmont Pick 6 very tough, hoping for another carry over. Gulfstream pick 5 looks very playable and that will be today’s focus.

Gulfstream Park Race#4 Pick 5   Post time 2:30pm eastern

Race#4 Nothing like opening the sequence with a ton of slow horses that can’t run to par. A wide open race. The favourite should be the 8 and has 2 wins, many others have only 1. Others to consider are the 1 and 7. A leg to spread for sure.

Race#5 The 7 has the class, but is he at all interested in running anymore. The 3 last race was a huge effort, a repeat effort can even beat the 7. The 1 has the figures but I am always concerned when have of his starts he runs 2nd. I would not normally tout a Tampa horse racing at Gulfstream, but this is the 2nd tier meet. The 6 at 10-1 is worth a look.

Race#6 Unsure what the trainer on the 5 is thinking. The races on the turf are good enough to win on the turf, so why on the dirt. Similar effort on the dirt, she wins. The 8 has been in some tough races and will be going to the lead based on the last workout. Does have a chance to upset. The 6 has the early pace but no finish. The 1 has the running style to win, but needs this to be a weak field to beat the others.

Race#7 The reason I wait as long as I can to post my analysis is because of this exact reason. Take note of who the 8 lost to today, the winner of the first today. Hence makes this a good race to come out of. The only other one is the 6 and is a must use as well.

Race#8 Just like the 7th race I only like two horses. The 9 ran a big first race out and we have seen on or close to the pace as been doing well early today. The 6 is the one I like best but need 6,9. Works and only start on the 6 says go.
