After hitting the pick 6 yesterday at Aqueduct, I am going to try to give out the pick 5 at GPW today. Yesterday is old news and its all about today. A nice carry over of $15,000 in the pick 5 sequence today. It is not easy but it is worth a small shot.
GPW Race#6 Pick 5 Post time: 3:00pm eastern
With the very tough sequence today, I need to take a stand somewhere because in most of the races you need a bunch. You can’t take a bunch in each leg, the cost will be way to high.
Race#6 So the combined record of this field is 10 for 219. Wow is all I have to say because I don’t remember a race with this poor of a record in it. Picking a horse confidently is impossible. I could give you a few horses in this race but if I don’t stand behind them I can give them out. This is an “All” race if ever seen one.
Race#7 I need to take a stand in this race with the 5. Certainly no standout, but has the figures to win. The possible upset horses would be the 1,2.
Race#8 The 6 has ran some very nice races and had a coupled of bad beats, a little worried on that. The two strong workouts since his last race should help. Slight concern only has one win lifetime. The super longshot of the day is the 5. Has five wins lifetime and can close, might be to far back but at 20-1 is worth a little shot.
Race#9 There is lots of speed in here so I think you need a closer. The 1 had a nice 1st start on the dirt at GPW and will get a trip on the rail to take over late. Similar angle to with the 5, will need both. I think the 8 is the speed of the speed, throw out his last race complete. The 8 should clear and if does might be good enough to steal it.
Race#10 Another tricky turf race to end the sequence with. The 4 is my selection, the year layoff is never good but has a great closing kick with very good connections. The 6 has the back class and connections that is a must use but not a key. Sleepers to consider is the 3 at 12-1 and the 9 at 8-1.
Here is my ticket: all/5/6/1,5,8/4,6 Cost: $30.00
