November 5th at Gulfstream Park West

by STRETCH

A few pick 5 carry overs today so the focus will be at GPW, or the former Calder, with a carry over of $16,000. This is important because the surface from Gulfstream and Calder are different and there are horses that can run at one and not the other.

Gulfstream Park West Race#6 Pick 5   Post time 3:00pm eastern

Race#6 2 ran a very good first start, wide throughout and a little trouble in the stretch. Will be tough. 2,6 are the only others I see, but need to improve to beat the 2

Race#7 The 8 is the obvious horse, but is a plotter. I do not like keying these types at all. The type that beat the 8 are the early pace horses. The sleeper is the 4 at 10-1, two back ran a race that could win. The other early pace horses with a shot are the 9,10. The rest are not race horses.

Race#8 Not an easy race. No horse is really reliable as the 6 and 7 take turns beating each other. The 8 has an average closing kick to win, as well as the 2. You need 2,6,7,8

Race#9 It is all about the race shape in this one. The 1 should get a good trip and need the last start, has also won at GPW. The  3 will also improve and will be close to the pace. The 7 will get the lead and will go as far as she can go.

Race#10  The 7 is the controlling pace, if left alone can win. The 2,4 on possible other plays in a very tough race to figure who gets the trip.

Here is a small ticket:  2/4,8,9,10/2,6,7,8/1,3,7/7
