September 19th at Belmont and Emerald

by STRETCH

The late pick 4 at Belmont has the standard $300,000 guarantee  and looks very playable. Also there is a nice carry over at a small west coast track Emerald downs. Going to take a shot at both today.

Belmont Race#7 Pick 4  Post time 4:13pm eastern

Race#7 The sequence opens with a strong play. The 5 needed one and is set up to make a big close late today. The 3 will try and steal it and could do that. If the 5 does not fire the other to upset is the 3

Race#8 If you have been watching Belmont you will see a strong speed rail bias and that is exactly what the 1 is. Will be a big favourite and should win. The 2 will great trip behind the possible early duel. The others would be a big upset

Race#9 This is by far the toughest in the sequence. I don’t see any world beater in here that have run. The 2 had on okay first race but nothing stellar. The 5 horse has the workout and connections to win. Completely wide open race.

Race#10 The 6 looked very good in his first start, a repeat effort he wins. The 9 I also like with his late kick. Sleepers to consider 4,5,7

Here are a couple possible tickets:  5/1/all/4,5,6,7,8,9     cost: $22.50
5/1,2/all/5,9         cost: $9.00
2,3,5,8/1/1,2,5,8,9/5,9  cost: $20

Emerald Park Race#5 Pick 5  Post time: 7:04pm eastern

Race#5 The 4 is the speed who got stuck in a big duel last time out and was still game. The 3 took advantage of the duel and won late. I think it is only these two horses but the 4 should be able to steal it

Race#6 The improving horse is the 8, had a troubled trip last out. A better trip can win. The 1 has the figures and will try and steal it, has the seconds problem. Way to many of them. The 6 is the class but also has the seconds problem. After the 1,6,8 becomes wide open.

Race#7 My least favourite race in the sequence. The 1 and 2 are my choices but there are too many race scenarios to try and guess how the race is going to be run. Taking 1,2,3,4,6.

Race#8 The 8 is the controlling early pace and goes through her. If someone challengers her early then the 5 will close late. Just going with 5,6

Race#9 The 4 should crush, the only concern these bottom maidens seem to bounce a little after the first out good effort. I am keying the 4 because the rest of the horses barely can run

Here is my ticket: 3,4/1,6,8/1,2,3,4,6/5,6 /4     cost: $30.00
